Claude can publish an artifact to a public claude.ai link from the artifact's menu. If you want a link that is independent of Claude — your own address, a password, edits at the same URL, or a page your company network does not block — copy or download the artifact's code, paste it into an HTML to URL converter, and share that URL instead.
Option A — Claude's built-in publishing
In the artifact panel, use the publish/share option to create a public link. It is the quickest route and keeps the "remix" connection to Claude. Things to know:
- The page is shown inside Claude's interface and branding.
- You cannot choose the address, add a password or edit the page outside the conversation.
- Some school and corporate networks block AI-chat domains, so recipients may not be able to open it.
Option B — Host the artifact's HTML yourself
- Open the artifact and switch to the Code view.
- Copy all of it, or use Download to save the
.htmlfile. - Paste or upload it at HTML code to URL, pick an address and publish.
Paste code or drop a file, ZIP or folder. Free plan, custom address, password & editing included. Get a URL
React artifacts need one extra step
HTML artifacts publish as-is. React (.jsx) artifacts are a component, not a page — they rely on Claude's runtime to compile them. Ask Claude: "Convert this artifact into a single standalone HTML file that loads React from a CDN and runs without a build step." The result is a normal HTML file you can host anywhere. The same applies to artifacts that use window.claude or Claude-specific storage APIs; ask for localStorage instead.

Publishing straight from Claude Code or Claude with tools
If you work in Claude Code or another MCP-capable client, you can skip copy-paste entirely: connect the HTMLtoURL.dev MCP endpoint and Claude can call publish_html itself and give you the URL. Setup is in publishing HTML from AI agents.
