Quick answer

To convert HTML to a URL, paste the code (or upload the file) into an HTML to URL converter such as HTMLtoURL.dev and press publish: the page is hosted at an address like https://your-page.htmltourl.dev/ that anyone can open in a browser. No server, domain or Git is involved. Free URLs last 24 hours; paid plans from $9/month keep them online permanently. Every URL can be password protected, updated in place and is kept out of Google with a noindex header.

How it works

How to convert HTML to a URL

Three steps, about ten seconds, on a laptop or a phone.

Add your HTML

Paste HTML code into the box, or switch to Upload and drop an .html file, a .zip or a whole folder. A snippet is fine — it does not have to be a full document.

Choose the URL

Leave the address empty for a random, hard-to-guess URL, or type a name to get name.htmltourl.dev. Add a password if the page is private.

Get your URL

Press Get my URL and sign in with Google. About a second later you have a live HTTPS URL, a copy button and a QR code. The URL is saved in My links so you can update it later.

Why HTMLtoURL.dev

The parts other converters charge for are included

Most HTML to URL tools give guests a link that dies in an hour and keep custom addresses, editing and passwords for paying customers. Here they are on every plan, and paid plans simply make your URLs permanent and bigger.

A URL for the people you send it to

A page you share with a client, a class or a team should not appear in search results. Every URL is served with noindex, on its own subdomain, over HTTPS, and Free URLs delete themselves after 24 hours. Add a password and only people you tell can open it.

Pages that imitate banks or ask for wallet phrases are refused at publish time, executables are blocked, and every Free page carries a small report link.

noindex

Kept out of Google, Bing and AI search.

Each page on its own name.htmltourl.dev origin.

HTML to URL — frequently asked questions

What is an HTML to URL converter?

An HTML to URL converter hosts the HTML you give it at a public web address. You paste code or upload a file, and it returns a URL such as https://your-page.htmltourl.dev/ that opens the rendered page in any browser — no hosting account, domain name, Git repository or deploy step. HTMLtoURL.dev is one: paste or upload, press Get my URL, share the link.

How do I convert HTML code to a URL?

Paste the code into the converter at the top of this page, optionally type a custom address, and press Get my URL. Sign in with Google when asked. The page is live at its new URL straight away — copy it, open it, or download the QR code. Step-by-step: HTML code to URL.

How do I turn an HTML file into a URL?

Switch to the Upload tab and drop the .html file. If it uses separate CSS, JavaScript or image files, upload the whole folder or a ZIP so every path keeps working. See HTML file to URL.

Is this HTML to URL converter free?

Yes. The Free plan gives you 3 live URLs at a time, each online for 24 hours, up to 2 MB, with custom addresses, passwords, updates, ZIP sites and QR codes included. Paid plans ($9, $15 or $25 a month) keep URLs online permanently, remove the badge and allow up to 75 MB. See pricing.

Do I need to create an account?

You sign in with Google when you publish — one click, nothing to fill in. That is what lets you update or delete your URL later from any device, and stops anyone else from changing it. People who open your URL do not need anything.

How long does the URL stay online?

Free URLs stay online for 24 hours and are then deleted automatically. On Starter, Pro and Business, URLs have no expiry for as long as the subscription is active; if it ends, they get a 3-day grace period.

Can I change the page without changing the URL?

Yes, on every plan. In My links choose Update content and publish the new version. The URL, the QR code and the password stay exactly the same, which matters once the link is in an email, a chat or on a printed poster.

Does CSS and JavaScript work after converting?

Yes. The page is served unchanged as a normal website on its own HTTPS origin, so inline and linked CSS, JavaScript, CDN libraries, canvas, WebGL, forms that post to services like Formspree, fetch() to public APIs and localStorage all work. Server-side code (PHP, Python, databases) does not — it is static hosting.

Will Google index the converted page?

No. Every published URL is served with an X-Robots-Tag: noindex header, so search engines and AI search tools leave it out. Anyone who has the URL can still open it, so add a password for anything confidential.

I meant HTML to URL encoding — how do I encode text for a URL?

Some people searching "HTML to URL" want percent-encoding (turning a b&c into a%20b%26c), not hosting. Use the free HTML URL encoder — it encodes and decodes URL components, whole URLs and HTML entities in your browser.

Can AI agents publish HTML to a URL?

Yes. Create an API key on your account page and send HTML to POST /api/publish, or connect the remote MCP endpoint so Claude, Cursor or another MCP client can call a publish_html tool and hand you the URL. See API & AI agents.

Is HTMLtoURL.dev the same as htmltourl.com?

No — they are separate services by different teams. Both convert HTML to a URL; HTMLtoURL.dev includes custom addresses, passwords, updates and ZIP websites on every plan, including Free. An honest side-by-side is on the comparison page.
